Description

The Globe is a single-bulb bathroom wall light with a 100mm frosted opal glass orb mounted on a polished chrome backplate, fitted with a pull cord on/off switch. The IP44 rating protects the electrical components from water splashes, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and beyond 600mm from a bath or basin).

Designed for mirror lighting, side-of-vanity positions, or general bathroom ambient light, the frosted glass diffuses the bulb glow into a soft, even output that reduces glare on reflective surfaces. The 124mm projection from the wall positions the light source forward of typical bathroom cabinetry, while the 177mm height keeps the pull cord within reach at standing height. The polished chrome finish resists bathroom humidity and pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and shower fittings.

The light takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 25W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or other G9 formats depending on the colour temperature and brightness needed. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb used — most dimmable G9 LEDs work with trailing-edge dimmers, but check the bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer circuit. The pressed steel backplate fixes to a standard UK 25mm back box with screws concealed behind the glass orb once fitted.

What bulb does it take?

The light takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 25W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for bathroom mirror lighting.

Is it dimmable?
