The Funk is a 154cm industrial floor lamp built around a conical matt black metal shade with a gold-painted interior, mounted to a slim black stem on a weighted disc base. The shade pivots on a small brass joint where it meets the upright, allowing the cone to be angled towards a reading position or rotated to wash light across a wall. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the shade (bulb sold separately).

This is a directional reading lamp rather than a room-filling ambient floor light. Positioned next to an armchair, sofa or bedside, the angled cone projects a focused pool of light onto a book or work surface, while the gold-painted interior warms the colour of the light reflecting off the shade. The narrow upright and compact disc base mean the lamp tucks neatly against furniture without taking up floor space, suiting apartments, snugs and home offices as much as larger living rooms.
