Description

The Fort Smart WiFi Security Floodlight Camera combines twin adjustable LED spotlights with a 1080p HD camera in a single IP65-rated housing. Each spotlight delivers 1250 lumens at 5000K daylight white (2500 lumens combined, 25W total), while the 2MP camera captures a 110° wide-angle view with motion-activated recording to local storage or cloud. Two-way audio allows conversation through the camera via the Fort app, and the entire unit connects to standard 2.4GHz WiFi networks without subscription fees or ongoing charges.

Designed for outdoor installation above garage doors, driveways, side passages and rear entrances, the twin spotlights can be angled independently to cover different zones while the camera monitors the primary approach. Motion detection triggers both video recording and automatic light activation, or the lights can be manually controlled and dimmed through the app. The system operates in temperatures from -10°C to +40°C and carries IP65 ingress protection against rain and dust, making it suitable for exposed UK outdoor locations year-round.

The camera housing measures 232mm wide by 153mm high with a 277mm projection from the wall when the twin spot arms are angled forward. The black powder-coated metal housing minimises visual intrusion on darker facades and blends with anthracite grey, black UPVC and contemporary render finishes. Installation requires mains power connection to the rear junction box and WiFi signal strength within 10m of the mounting location for reliable streaming and recording.

Recording can be stored on a microSD card (sold separately, up to 128GB supported) inserted into the camera housing, with motion-triggered clips accessible through the Fort app on iOS or Android. The camera operates continuously on mains power with no battery dependency, and the LED spots can be set to activate only on motion detection or remain on permanently at reduced brightness as perimeter lighting.

Frequently Asked

Does this require a subscription for recording?

No. The Fort camera stores recordings to a microSD card (sold separately, up to 128GB) inserted into the camera housing, with no ongoing subscription fees. Cloud storage is optional and available through the Fort app if preferred.

What WiFi network does it need?

The camera requires a 2.4GHz WiFi network connection. It is not compatible with 5GHz-only networks. Signal strength should be sufficient within 10m of the mounting location for reliable streaming and recording.

Can the lights be controlled independently from the camera?

Yes. Through the Fort app, the twin LED spots can be manually activated, dimmed or set to motion-triggered mode independently of camera recording. The lights can also operate as perimeter lighting at reduced brightness without activating the camera.

Is it suitable for coastal or exposed locations?

The IP65 rating provides protection against rain and dust, and the unit operates in temperatures from -10°C to +40°C. For coastal locations with salt spray exposure, periodic cleaning of the lens and light covers is recommended to maintain optical clarity.
