Description

The Knightsbridge diplexed TV/FM DAB outlet module combines a TV aerial outlet and an FM/DAB radio aerial outlet in a single 50 x 50mm white ABS faceplate. The module is fully screened to EN 50083-2, minimising signal loss and cross-talk between the two aerial feeds, and provides separate male TV and female FM/DAB connection points behind the faceplate.

Designed for residential and commercial installations where both television and radio aerial feeds need to terminate at the same wall location, the module fits Knightsbridge's Grid Plus modular wiring system and requires a minimum 35mm mounting box depth. The clamp and screw terminal accepts cables with 1mm conductor diameter, including standard aerial cables such as PF100, H109F and QF100.

The white ABS construction matches standard white electrical fittings and provides an IP20-rated enclosure suitable for dry indoor locations. The screening to EN 50083-2 ensures low signal loss between the aerial input and the device output, maintaining picture and sound quality for both TV and radio reception without interference between the two feeds.

The clamp and screw terminal accepts aerial cables with a 1mm conductor diameter, including PF100, H109F, QF100 and other standard coaxial aerial cables commonly used in UK installations.

What's the difference between the TV and FM/DAB connections?

The TV outlet uses a male connector (plug type), while the FM/DAB outlet uses a female connector (socket type). This allows you to connect TV coaxial leads and FM/DAB aerial leads with the appropriate matching connectors.

Can this module be used with Freeview and DAB radio?

Yes. The TV outlet supports standard Freeview aerial signals, and the FM/DAB outlet supports both FM radio and DAB digital radio aerial feeds. The diplexed design keeps the two signals separate to prevent interference.

What mounting box depth is required?

A minimum 35mm mounting box depth is needed. The module itself has a recessed depth of 31mm, with the additional clearance required for cable connections and terminations behind the faceplate.
