Description

The Knightsbridge PWL1 is a curved plaster wall light that casts light both upwards and downwards through a single G9 bulb (sold separately) housed inside a natural gypsum body. The open top and bottom apertures direct light onto the ceiling and wall surface below, creating ambient wash lighting rather than direct task light. The fitting measures 180mm tall, 110mm wide, and projects 70mm from the wall.

Designed for hallways, landings, living rooms and bedrooms where discreet ambient lighting is needed, the plaster construction allows the fitting to be painted with good-quality emulsion to match or blend into surrounding wall colours. Multiple fittings can be spaced at regular intervals along a corridor or stairwell to provide consistent ambient light distribution without visible hardware or metallic finishes interrupting the wall plane.

The gypsum body is Class I rated and requires an earth connection during installation. IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use. The fitting accepts halogen or LED G9 bulbs up to 40W, with dimming capability dependent on the bulb chosen. Most G9 LED bulbs between 2-5W provide sufficient output for ambient corridor or landing lighting while keeping running costs low.
