Description

The Knightsbridge PWL3 is a curved plaster wall light that casts light both upwards and downwards from a single G9 bulb housed inside a cylindrical gypsum body. The 200mm-wide cylinder projects 150mm from the wall and stands 120mm tall, creating a vertical band of light on the wall surface above and below the fitting.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedrooms and living spaces where ambient wash lighting is needed without visible bulbs or glare, the fitting works as a single accent or in multiples spaced along a wall run. The plaster construction can be painted with good-quality emulsion once installed, allowing the fitting to blend into the wall colour or contrast as desired. The G9 lampholder accepts halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to 40W (sold separately), with dimmer compatibility determined by the bulb choice.

The natural gypsum plaster body is porous and absorbs paint well, so any standard interior emulsion or satinwood can be applied to match the surrounding wall finish. The curved profile softens the light projection, spreading the illumination across a wider vertical band than a flat-fronted fitting would. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations only — not bathrooms or outdoor use.

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 40W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 in 2700K-3000K warm white for ambient wall washing. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen — LED G9 bulbs vary in dimmer performance.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means it is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor locations where moisture is present.

How much wall coverage does the light give?

The curved profile spreads light upwards and downwards across approximately 600-900mm of vertical wall surface when fitted at typical eye level, depending on the bulb output and wall colour. Darker walls absorb more light and reduce the visible spread.
