Description

The Cuboid is a plaster wall light casting both upward and downward beams from a rectangular gypsum body measuring 180mm high by 110mm wide. A single G9 bulb (sold separately, 40W max) sits inside the hollow plaster enclosure, with light escaping through apertures at the top and bottom to create defined pools on the ceiling and wall below.

Designed for hallways, staircases, and living room accent walls where indirect ambient light is preferred over direct glare, the Cuboid projects 70mm from the wall surface and can be installed singly or in evenly-spaced groups along a corridor or feature wall. The gypsum construction allows the fitting to be painted with any good-quality emulsion, enabling it to blend into the surrounding wall colour or contrast as a feature depending on decoration.

The natural gypsum is porous and slightly warmer in tone than ceramic or plaster-coated metal, absorbing and diffusing a small amount of the light rather than reflecting it harshly. The Class I electrical rating requires earthing during installation, and the IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor zones only. Dimming capability depends on the specific G9 bulb chosen — most dimmable LED G9 capsules work with standard trailing-edge dimmers.
