Description

This Diyas crystal lampshade clips directly onto a light bulb fitting and consists of vertical clear glass rods assembled around a French gold metal frame, with a base trim of faceted octagon crystals. The shade measures 130mm diameter at the base, tapering to 65mm at the top, with a height of 120mm and a weight of 0.28kg. The clip-on mechanism fits standard E14 candle bulb fittings up to 60W.

Designed as a decorative accessory for chandeliers, wall lights and candelabra-style fittings, the shade transforms bare bulb fixtures into dressed decorative elements. The vertical glass rods diffuse light laterally while the crystal trim at the base casts prismatic reflections when the bulb is lit. The French gold frame — a warm brass tone with subtle antiqued finish — anchors the structure and provides visual weight against the transparency of the glass.

Can it be used on all chandelier arms?

The clip-on design works on any exposed E14 bulb fitting where the bulb projects enough above the lamp holder for the clip to grip. It will not fit bayonet (B15/B22) fittings or recessed sockets where the bulb sits flush with the holder.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off the fitting and allow the bulb to cool fully. Remove the shade by releasing the clip. Wipe the glass rods and crystals gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or submerging the shade.

Does the French gold tarnish over time?

French gold is a plated finish on brass. In normal indoor conditions it remains stable. Avoid humid environments like bathrooms unless the fitting is rated for such use, as moisture can accelerate tarnishing on plated metals.
