Description

The Candy is a 72cm diameter coffee table built from three distinct material layers: a drum-shaped base upholstered in pleated grey leatherette, a grey marble-effect sintered stone top, and a brushed brass-finish metal plinth that sits between base and top. The pleated leatherette wraps the entire circumference of the base in vertical ridges, creating a ribbed texture that contrasts with the smooth stone surface above.

Designed for contemporary living rooms, lounges and open-plan spaces where the coffee table functions as both surface and sculptural object, the Candy sits 36cm high — low enough to pair with standard sofas whilst providing usable surface area for books, trays and drinks. The 72cm diameter gives enough presence to anchor a seating arrangement without dominating smaller rooms. The sintered stone top resists heat and moisture better than natural marble whilst replicating its veined grey appearance.

The pleated leatherette is stitched onto the drum structure in narrow vertical panels, each approximately 10-15mm wide, which gives the base a soft textile quality despite being a rigid form. The brushed brass plinth between base and top measures approximately 8-10cm in height and acts as both visual separator and structural element. At 15.1kg the table has enough mass to feel stable on carpets and rugs without requiring floor anchoring. The grey leatherette, grey stone and warm brass combination suits both monochrome interiors and rooms with warmer accent colours.

Does the table require assembly?

Yes. The Candy ships with the top, base and brass plinth as separate components. Assembly involves attaching the brass plinth to the upholstered base, then securing the sintered stone top onto the plinth. Full instructions are available in the Downloads tab above.

Is the top real marble?

No. The top is sintered stone with a grey marble effect. Sintered stone is a manufactured material that replicates the appearance of natural marble whilst offering better resistance to heat, moisture and staining than genuine marble.

Can the leatherette be cleaned?

The pleated grey leatherette can be wiped gently with a barely-damp microfibre cloth. Avoid soaking the fabric or using household cleaning sprays, as these may damage the stitching or discolour the grey finish. Dust can be removed with a soft brush or vacuum attachment.

What height sofa does it suit?

At 36cm high, the Candy pairs with standard UK sofas where the seat cushion sits 40-50cm from the floor. This allows the table surface to sit just below seated knee height, which is the typical functional position for a coffee table used for drinks and books.
