Description

The Cala is a 300mm wall light built from six cylindrical tubes in sand white, each housing an integrated LED that projects light downwards onto the wall surface. The 36W total output generates 2520 lumens at 3000K warm white, casting a soft wash of light below the fitting. The tubes are arranged in staggered heights, creating a stepped profile that resembles organ pipes.

Designed for hallways, living rooms and bedrooms where ambient wall-washing is preferred over ceiling-mounted general lighting, the Cala provides indirect illumination that highlights wall texture and architectural detail without creating glare. The 66mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting close to the surface, making it suitable for narrower corridors where deeper wall brackets would intrude into circulation space. The light projects downwards only, so it works well positioned 1.8-2.2m above floor level where the pool of light reaches the skirting and floor below.

The sand white finish is a neutral off-white with a warm undertone, closer to natural linen than pure white. The tubes are made from metal with a smooth matt coating that diffuses light gently without creating hotspots. The integrated LEDs are non-replaceable and non-dimmable, rated for 3000K throughout their life. The fitting weighs 1.2kg and fixes to a standard wall-mounted back plate, requiring mains 220-240V connection by a qualified electrician.

The wide beam spreads light broadly across the surface below rather than narrowing it to a spot, which is why the wash stays even from side to side. The staggered heights let each of the 6 tubes reach a slightly different point on the wall, so the total 2520lm output covers the surface without leaving gaps or dark patches between the columns.

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and must be connected directly to mains 220-240V supply on a standard switch circuit.

What direction does the light project?

The light projects downwards only, creating a wall-wash effect below the fitting. There is no upward or forward light emission, so the fitting works best positioned above eye level where the light pool reaches the floor below.

Can the LED tubes be replaced?

No. The LEDs are integrated into the tubes and are not user-replaceable. The fitting carries a 3-year warranty, and the LED lifespan typically exceeds 20,000 hours under normal domestic use.
