Description

The Knightsbridge Bullet Track Spotlight is a 35mm diameter aluminium head with a GU10 lampholder, finished in brushed chrome and mounted on a plastic track connector. The spotlight rotates 350 degrees and tilts 80 degrees from vertical, allowing the beam to be aimed at walls, worktops, display shelves or feature objects once mounted on a track rail.

Designed for directional accent and task lighting rather than general room illumination, the spotlight suits kitchens where worktop or hob lighting is needed, retail display areas, galleries, home offices and anywhere a compact adjustable fitting can highlight a specific zone without filling the ceiling with separate downlights. The 130mm projection from the track rail keeps the head clear of adjacent fittings on the same rail, and the slim bullet profile minimises visual clutter when multiple heads are ganged on a single track run.

The aluminium construction resists warping under heat from halogen lamps, and the brushed chrome finish hides fingerprints better than polished chrome while still providing a cooler metallic accent than brass or bronze. The spotlight accepts any GU10 halogen or LED lamp up to 50W (lamp sold separately), and dimmer compatibility depends on the lamp chosen rather than the fitting itself. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations — not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies.

What track rail does this fit?

The plastic connector is compatible with standard single-circuit mains-voltage track lighting rails. Knightsbridge produces matching track rail sold separately. Check the track rail product page or contact us to confirm compatibility if you're pairing this with a different brand's rail.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends entirely on the GU10 lamp you install. If you use a dimmable LED GU10, the spotlight will dim. If you use a non-dimmable lamp, it won't. The fitting itself has no electronics that restrict dimming.

What lamp should I use?

Any GU10 halogen or LED lamp up to 50W. Most users pair this with a 5-7W LED GU10 in 3000K warm white for accent lighting. Higher wattages (35-50W halogen) are only needed if you're lighting a task surface from more than 1.5m distance.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means it's rated for dry indoor locations only. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher depending on the zone. Use this in kitchens, living rooms, hallways, offices and retail spaces where moisture is not a concern.
