Description

The Bora is a 27cm oval LED wall light with an integrated 16W warm white LED and a silver-painted metal finish. The oval profile measures 270mm at its widest point and projects just 40mm from the wall when surface-mounted, creating a low-profile flush-mount effect. The 120° beam angle from the internal LED spreads 1350lm of 3000K light across adjacent walls and ceilings rather than projecting it straight forward.

Designed for ambient rather than task lighting, the Bora suits hallways, landings, bedrooms and living room accent positions where soft background illumination is needed. The oval form reads as more directional than a circular wall light, working well in pairs flanking a doorway or mirror, or in a line of three or more along a corridor wall. The 40mm projection keeps the fitting tight to the wall, which reduces head-strike risk in narrow hallways and keeps the light source visually discreet.

The silver-painted finish provides a cooler metallic tone than brushed nickel or chrome, pairing with grey, white and industrial-toned interiors. The 100-240V driver accepts worldwide mains voltages and the light is not dimmable. At 1.4kg the fitting has enough weight to sit securely on the wall once mounted, and the integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement during normal use. Is the Bora dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light is either on at full 1350lm output or off.

What rooms is the Bora suited to?

The 1350lm output and 120° beam angle make the Bora suitable for ambient lighting in hallways, landings, bedrooms and living room accent positions. It does not provide enough focused output to act as task lighting above a desk or work surface.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Bora carries no IP rating in the specification, so it should be installed outside bathroom zones where moisture and splashing are present. It can be used in a hallway adjacent to a bathroom or in a bedroom with an ensuite, provided it is not mounted within the classified bathroom zones.

How is the Bora mounted?

The light surface-mounts to the wall with fixings concealed behind the 270mm oval faceplate. The 40mm projection includes the mounting backplate and the faceplate thickness. Wiring connects to the driver concealed inside the body during installation.
