The AV:Link USB 2.0 Type-A wall plate module is a 50mm x 25mm clip-in module with a USB 2.0 Type-A socket on the faceplate and a 155mm female tail extending from the rear. The module fits into compatible modular wall plate frames, allowing USB peripherals to be connected at a wall-mounted position without visible trailing cables.
Designed for installation in residential, commercial and educational spaces, the module creates a fixed USB socket point for connecting devices such as USB-powered displays, charging hubs, or media players. The 155mm female tail connects to a USB source cable run through cavity walls or surface trunking, with the tail terminating at a male USB plug to connect to the source device or hub behind the wall.
The module clips into AV:Link modular wall plate frames (122.500UK and 122.505UK, sold separately), which hold one or more modules within a standard UK single or double wall box aperture. This allows USB sockets to be combined with other AV modules (HDMI, audio, Ethernet) in a single faceplate. At 26g the module adds minimal load to the frame, and the 15mm depth projection from the back of the module determines the minimum cavity depth needed behind the wall plate.
