The AV:Link HDMI 2.0 1x8 splitter takes a single HDMI source and distributes the signal to eight separate displays simultaneously, maintaining resolution up to 4K Ultra HD at 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz. The unit supports HDCP 2.2 copy protection, 8/10/12-bit deep colour, and a maximum bandwidth of 600MHz across all eight outputs. Gold-plated HDMI connectors reduce signal degradation, and the metal chassis provides passive heat dissipation during continuous operation.

Designed for commercial and residential installations where one source needs to feed multiple screens — retail video walls, sports bars, digital signage networks, exhibition stands, or multi-room home cinema — the splitter handles modern 4K sources including set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, media servers and games consoles. Each of the eight outputs delivers an identical feed, so all connected displays show the same content at the same time. The unit passes through multi-channel audio formats including DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, Dolby AC3 and DSD, preserving surround sound to compatible receivers.

What's the maximum cable length per output?

At 4K 60Hz the maximum recommended cable run is 10m per output. At 4K 30Hz or Full HD 1080p the maximum extends to 35m. These figures assume good-quality HDMI cables with adequate shielding. Lower-quality cables may reduce the effective distance.

Do all eight outputs need to be connected?

No. The splitter works with any number of outputs connected from one to eight. Unused outputs can be left unconnected without affecting the signal quality to the active displays.

Does it pass audio to all displays?

Yes. The splitter passes multi-channel audio formats including DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, Dolby AC3 and DSD to all connected displays. Each display receives the same audio stream embedded in the HDMI signal. For separate audio extraction you would need an additional HDMI audio de-embedder on the source side.

Is the splitter HDCP 2.2 compliant?

Yes. The unit supports HDCP 2.2, which is required for 4K content from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, UHD Blu-ray players and similar protected sources. All connected displays must also support HDCP 2.2 for protected 4K content to display correctly.
