Description
The AV:Link 2x4 HDMI matrix switch splitter routes two HDMI source devices to four display outputs simultaneously, with user-selectable source switching via IR remote. The unit supports HDMI 2.0a with resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz, 600MHz bandwidth, and 6Gbps data rate, handling 4K content from modern set-top boxes, media players, gaming consoles and presentation sources.
Designed for hospitality venues, sports bars, retail displays, conference rooms and multi-screen entertainment setups, the matrix switch allows a single source to be distributed to all four outputs, or allows quick switching between two sources across all displays. Gold-plated HDMI connectors minimise signal degradation. The unit supports cable runs up to 20m combined input/output at 1080p or 10m combined at 4K without requiring signal boosters or repeaters.
Audio extraction is provided via digital SPDIF (optical) and analogue 3.5mm jack outputs, allowing the audio signal from the selected HDMI source to be routed to a separate sound system or PA while video continues to the displays. The unit supports DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, Dolby AC3 and DSD audio formats, and handles 8-bit, 10-bit and 12-bit deep colour signals. The compact 200 x 70 x 25mm black metal housing sits on a desk or rack shelf, powered by the included UK mains adaptor (500mA max draw). The IR remote uses a CR2025 battery (supplied) and provides line-of-sight source switching without needing to access the unit directly.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between a switch and a splitter?
This unit combines both functions. It switches between two HDMI input sources and splits the selected source to four output displays simultaneously. All four outputs show the same source at any given time. You cannot send different sources to different outputs.
What cable length is supported at 4K resolution?
The unit supports a combined 10m cable run (input plus output) at 4K resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz. For example, a 5m input cable and a 5m output cable, or a 3m input and 7m output. At 1080p HD the combined run can be up to 20m per output.
Does it support HDCP copy protection?
Yes. The unit supports HDCP 1.4 on the input side, allowing it to pass protected content from Blu-ray players, streaming devices and set-top boxes to displays. Both source and displays must be HDCP-compliant for protected content to display.
What's in the box?
The package includes the 2x4 matrix switch unit, IR remote control with CR2025 battery fitted, UK mains power adaptor, and product manual. HDMI cables are not included and must be purchased separately.
