Description

The AV:Link 128.825UK is a 1-input 2-output HDMI splitter that sends a single HDMI source to two displays simultaneously. The unit supports 4K resolution, 1080p at 60Hz, 3D content and up to 36-bit deep colour, with HDCP 2.2 compliance for protected content. It draws power directly from the HDMI signal (bus-powered), with an optional USB power cable included for installations where the HDMI source cannot supply sufficient current.

Designed for home theatre systems, digital signage, retail displays and AV installations where one source needs to feed multiple screens, the splitter handles both video and audio pass-through. Audio formats include DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, DTS/Dolby AC3 and DSD HD (HBR), so it works with surround sound systems and stereo outputs without re-encoding. Two green LEDs on the front panel indicate active output status for each HDMI port.

The compact 62 x 51 x 11mm ABS housing can sit behind a TV, inside an AV rack or on a desk without taking up rack space. Maximum bandwidth of 340MHz and a 3.4Gbps baud rate allow the splitter to handle full 4K streams without signal degradation. The unit can also function as a signal booster when placed at the end of a long HDMI cable run, regenerating the signal before it reaches the display. Operating temperature range is -15 to +55°C, suitable for indoor commercial and residential environments.

Frequently Asked

Does this require external power?

No. The splitter draws power from the HDMI signal itself (bus-powered). A USB power cable is included for installations where the HDMI source cannot supply enough current, but most modern sources (set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, game consoles) provide sufficient power without it.

Will it work with 4K HDR content?

The splitter supports 4K resolution and is HDCP 2.2 compliant, which is required for protected 4K content. However, HDMI 1.4a does not natively support HDR metadata pass-through, so HDR content may display as standard dynamic range on the connected displays.

Do both outputs show the same image?

Yes. This is a splitter, not a matrix switcher. Both HDMI outputs display identical content from the single input source at the same time. The outputs cannot show different content or be controlled independently.

Can it extend HDMI cable runs?

Yes. The splitter regenerates the HDMI signal, so it can be placed at the end of a long cable run (up to the limits of passive HDMI cable length) to boost the signal before it reaches the display, effectively extending the maximum distance.
