9W Linkable LED Striplight 4000K Cool White - 538mm

The Knightsbridge 9W LED striplight is a 538mm linkable under-cabinet light delivering 760 lumens of cool white 4000K light through an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The fitting runs on 230V mains via a 2m integral cable and includes a rocker switch on the body for independent on/off control without needing to access the mains circuit.

Designed for under-cabinet task lighting in kitchens, workshops and retail display shelving, the striplight can be mounted horizontally beneath wall units or vertically along shelf edges using the included fixing clips. The linkable design allows up to 12 units to be connected in series using the supplied coupler, creating continuous runs of up to 6.4m. Each fitting measures 538mm long by 22.8mm wide with a 36mm projection from the mounting surface.

The polycarbonate housing is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations and carries Class II double-insulated status, so no earth connection is required during installation. The opal diffuser spreads the 145-degree beam angle evenly along the length of the fitting, eliminating LED hotspots and providing consistent illumination across worktops and shelf surfaces. The 4000K cool white temperature gives crisp, neutral light suited to work areas where colour accuracy matters.

The integrated LED delivers 118.6 lumens per watt with a rated L70B50 lifespan of 54,000 hours, equivalent to 18 years of continuous operation or over 30 years at 5 hours daily use. The fitting is non-dimmable and carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty.

How many units can be linked together?

Up to 12 fittings can be connected in series using the supplied coupler. This creates a maximum continuous run of approximately 6.4m, assuming each unit is 538mm long. The linkable design shares power across the chain from a single mains connection at the first fitting.

Is the striplight dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable and should not be used with dimmer switches. The on/off rocker switch on the fitting body provides manual control.

Can it be mounted vertically?

Yes. The fixing clips allow the striplight to be mounted horizontally beneath cabinets or vertically along shelf edges and cabinet sides. The opal diffuser provides even light distribution in either orientation.

What does the L70B50 lifespan mean?

L70B50 of 54,000 hours means that after 54,000 hours of use, at least 50% of the LEDs will still produce at least 70% of their original lumen output. At 5 hours daily use, this equates to over 30 years before noticeable brightness degradation.
