The Knightsbridge 8-gang grid faceplate is a 148mm square screwless cover plate designed for modular grid wiring systems. Made from premium-grade steel with a matt white finish, the faceplate clips onto a separate grid sub-frame (GDS003F, sold separately) and accepts up to eight grid module inserts across two rows of four apertures.

Designed for installations needing multiple switches, dimmers, sockets or data modules grouped on a single plate, the grid system allows installers to configure each faceplate with the exact combination of functions needed. This faceplate requires one GDS003F grid sub-frame, sold separately. The sub-frame fixes to the back box and provides the mounting points for grid module inserts. The faceplate then clips over the top, concealing the frame and fixings.

How many modules does it accept?

The 8-gang layout accepts up to eight single-width grid modules arranged in two rows of four. If you use double-width modules (such as some dimmer or socket inserts), the total count will be fewer than eight.

Is the faceplate compatible with standard wiring accessories?

No. This plate is part of Knightsbridge's modular grid system and only accepts grid module inserts, not standard switches or sockets. For standard accessories, use Knightsbridge's screwless switch and socket faceplates instead.

What back box depth is required?

The sub-frame and module depth varies depending on which grid inserts you use. A 35mm minimum back box depth is typically required for most grid module combinations, but check the specification of the specific modules you plan to install.
