Description

The Knightsbridge 60x45cm edge-lit bathroom mirror integrates an LED strip behind a frosted edge border that casts cool white 4000K light around the perimeter of the mirror glass. The mirror runs on 8 AA batteries (sold separately), removing the need for mains wiring and making it suitable for installation on any wall surface without requiring an electrician.

Designed for bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms where mains lighting is impractical or where additional task light is needed around the mirror, the IP44 rating protects against water splashes from basin taps and showers. The 600mm height and 450mm width suit single-basin vanity installations, and the 35mm projection from the wall includes the pressed steel back plate and fixing points. The on/off switch sits on the mirror edge for direct manual control.

The frosted edge diffuses the LED strip to create an even glow around the mirror perimeter rather than exposing individual LED diodes. The cool white 4000K colour temperature provides task lighting closer to daylight than warm white alternatives, which many users prefer for makeup application and shaving. The non-dimmable LED strip is rated at 30,000 hours L70B50, and the mirror glass itself is bonded to a pressed steel back plate with wall fixings included in the box.

No. The mirror requires 8 AA batteries, which are sold separately. Most users report battery life of several months under typical daily use, depending on how long the mirror is left switched on.

Can it be used in a shower room?

The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from basin taps and shower spray, so it can be wall-mounted outside the immediate shower enclosure. It should not be installed inside a shower cubicle or anywhere it would be directly exposed to jets of water.

Is the light warm white or cool white?

Cool white at 4000K. This colour temperature is closer to daylight than warm white (2700K-3000K) and is often preferred for bathroom mirrors used for makeup application, shaving and grooming tasks.

How is it fixed to the wall?

The pressed steel back plate has pre-drilled fixing points for wall screws. Fixings are included in the box. The mirror can be mounted on any solid wall surface (plasterboard, masonry, tiles) using appropriate wall plugs for the wall type.
