Description

The Knightsbridge 45A DP switch is a double-pole cooker control switch with a neon indicator, housed behind a 2-gang size polished brass screwless faceplate. The 45A rating handles electric cookers, ovens and ranges drawing up to 10,350W on a 230V supply, allowing the appliance to be isolated for maintenance, cleaning or when not in use.

Designed for kitchens where a dedicated cooker circuit terminates near the appliance, the switch mounts in a standard 2-gang back box with a minimum 47mm depth. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when turned off, providing full isolation rather than just breaking the live. The red neon indicator illuminates when the switch is on, giving visual confirmation that power is supplied to the appliance.

The polished brass faceplate is constructed from premium-grade steel with a high-gloss finish that develops a warm patina over time. The screwless design uses a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, with the cover plate clipping on to conceal all fixings. This gives a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates and allows the cover to be removed for redecorating without disturbing the wiring. The 4.3mm projection from the wall once fitted keeps the profile low.
