Description

The Knightsbridge 45A DP cooker switch combines a double-pole 45A isolator switch with a 13A switched socket behind a polished brass screwless faceplate with black insert. The 45A switch is rated for high-draw cooking appliances — electric cookers, ovens, hobs and ranges drawing up to 10,440W on 230V mains. The 13A socket to the right handles standard appliances up to 3,000W, typically used for kettles, slow cookers or small counter-top appliances near a cooker installation.

Designed for kitchen installation within 2m of the cooking appliance, the unit allows both the cooker circuit and socket to be isolated independently. The 45A switch is double-pole, meaning both live and neutral are broken when switched off, providing full electrical isolation for maintenance or repair. Red neon indicators behind each switch rocker glow when the circuit is live, giving a visual confirmation of status without needing to test with a meter. The engraved "COOKER" label below the 45A switch identifies its function.

The screwless faceplate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. The polished brass finish is achieved on premium-grade steel and pairs with traditional, classical and warm contemporary kitchens. The black insert frames each switch and socket aperture cleanly and hides the back of the faceplate. Installation requires a minimum 47mm back box depth to accommodate the switch mechanism and socket terminals behind the frame.
