Description
The Knightsbridge 24V COB LED strip light delivers 1100 lumens per metre of 4000K cool white light from a dot-free continuous LED ribbon. The 5m reel carries chip-on-board (COB) LEDs across an 8mm-wide flexible strip with a 1.5mm profile, creating a seamless light line without visible individual diodes or dark gaps between LED points.
Designed for cove lighting, under-cabinet task lighting, shelf lighting and architectural accent runs where a smooth unbroken light strip is needed, the COB construction eliminates the dotted appearance of traditional SMD LED strips. The strip can be cut to length every 62.5mm along marked cut points, allowing precise fitting to alcove widths, cabinet lengths and recessed channel runs. A 24V DC constant-voltage driver (sold separately) is required to power the strip, and the strip is dimmable when paired with compatible dimming control gear.
The 4000K colour temperature sits in the cool white range, producing a neutral clean light suited to kitchens, bathrooms, offices and retail display lighting where colour accuracy matters. The CRI >90 rating ensures accurate colour rendering of surfaces and objects under the light. The strip comes with 3M self-adhesive backing for direct mounting to clean dry surfaces inside channels, under shelves or along plinths. Maximum continuous run length is 10m (two 5m reels joined), and IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.

Frequently Asked
What driver does this LED strip require?
The strip requires a 24V DC constant-voltage driver. For a single 5m reel drawing 11W per metre, a driver rated at 60W or higher is recommended to allow headroom. The strip is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimming driver or separate dimming control module.
Can this strip be used outdoors or in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only. For bathrooms the strip must be installed outside shower zones (typically Zone 3 or beyond). For outdoor or wet-location applications, use an IP65 or IP68-rated strip.
Where can the strip be cut?
The strip can be cut every 62.5mm along marked cut points. Cutting outside these points will damage the circuit. Measure the installation run carefully before cutting, as cut sections cannot be rejoined without soldering or special connectors.
What is the difference between COB and standard SMD LED strips?
COB (chip-on-board) strips place multiple tiny LED chips close together under a continuous phosphor coating, creating a seamless unbroken light line. Standard SMD strips use discrete individual LED chips spaced along the strip, which can appear as visible dots or create dark gaps between LEDs when viewed directly or reflected in glossy surfaces.
