Description

The Knightsbridge 20AX DP switch module is a single-gang double pole rocker switch designed for front-mounting grid systems in the curved edge range. The module carries a 20AX rating at 230V, handling loads up to 4,600W — suitable for water heaters, cooker circuits and other high-demand appliances where double pole isolation is required.

The module fits curved edge grid plates (sold separately) and requires a minimum 35mm back box depth for installation. The double pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when turned off, providing full circuit isolation rather than just breaking the live conductor. The white rocker cover can be replaced with a labelled variant if needed, allowing circuits to be identified without printed stickers.

Constructed from thermoset resin with antimicrobial properties tested to ISO 22196:2011, the module is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations. The 25mm width makes it compatible with standard single-module grid positions, and multiple modules can be combined in multi-gang grid plates to create custom switch configurations. The white finish pairs with both contemporary and traditional interiors where white accessories are specified.

What grid plate does this module fit?

This module is designed for Knightsbridge curved edge grid plates only. It will not fit standard flat-edge grid systems or other manufacturers' grid ranges. Grid plates are sold separately in 1-6 gang configurations.

Can the rocker cover be replaced?

Yes. The white rocker can be replaced with a labelled variant (sold separately) to identify specific circuits — common labels include 'Water Heater', 'Cooker', 'Immersion', and custom-printed options.

What back box depth is needed?

A minimum 35mm back box depth is required. Standard 25mm back boxes are not deep enough to accommodate the module safely.
