Description

The Knightsbridge 20AX DP grid module is a single-gang switch unit designed for the Knightsbridge modular grid system, finished in matt black. The module clips into grid mounting frames (sold separately) from the front, allowing switch configurations to be built up from individual modules rather than fixed multi-gang plates. The 20AX rating handles loads up to 4,600W on 230V mains, making it suitable for high-draw appliances, water heaters and lighting circuits.

Used in kitchens, utility rooms, workshops and commercial environments where modular control is preferred over fixed switch plates, the grid system allows users to combine different module types (switches, sockets, dimmers, data ports) within a single frame. The double pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for high-power loads. The module requires a 35mm minimum back box depth and occupies one grid position within a 2, 3, 4 or 6-module frame.

The matt black rocker sits in a white ABS surround with steel internal contacts. The low-sheen black finish resists fingerprints and pairs with both contemporary and industrial interiors. Each module measures 56.3mm high by 24.8mm wide, with 5mm wall projection and 18.7mm recessed depth behind the mounting frame. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor locations only.
