Description
The Knightsbridge 20AX DP grid module is a single-width modular switch component with an integrated LED indicator, finished in brushed chrome. Rated at 20A on 230V circuits, the module provides double-pole switching that isolates both live and neutral lines when the circuit is switched off. The LED indicator shows circuit status at a glance, useful for confirming whether high-draw appliances or fixed circuits are energised.
Designed for Knightsbridge Grid modular wiring systems, the module clips into Grid mounting frames that accommodate multiple modules in a single faceplate. This allows custom switch configurations where a single wall plate can house combinations of switches, sockets, dimmers and blank modules in 1, 2, 3 or 4 gang configurations. The module occupies one Grid width (24.8mm), so up to four single-width modules fit into a 4-gang Grid frame.
The brushed chrome finish on the rocker matches Knightsbridge's screwless plate range and provides a satin metallic surface that resists fingerprints better than polished chrome. The ABS body and steel terminals provide a robust connection for fixed wiring, and the module requires a minimum 35mm back box depth for safe installation. The rocker on this module is fixed and non-replaceable, so finish selection should be made at the time of order.

Frequently Asked
What is a Grid module and how does it work?
Grid modules are individual wiring components that clip into modular mounting frames, allowing custom switch and socket combinations in a single faceplate. A 4-gang Grid frame can hold up to four single-width modules, or fewer modules if double-width components are used. The frame is fixed to a back box, then modules clip in from the front, and a cover plate finishes the installation.
What does the LED indicator show?
The LED illuminates when the circuit controlled by the module is live and energised. This provides visual confirmation of circuit status, which is particularly useful for high-draw appliances, water heaters, or fixed circuits where the load is not immediately visible.
Can the rocker finish be changed?
No. The rocker on this module is fixed and cannot be replaced. If a different finish is needed, the entire module must be swapped for one in the desired finish.
What other finishes are available?
Knightsbridge produces Grid modules in a range of finishes including polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, matt black and white. Use the site search or filters to find other variants in stock at Niori.
