Description

The Knightsbridge GDM004BB is a 20AX 2-way single pole grid module with a centre-off switch position, finished in brushed brass. The module clips into modular grid mounting frames (sold separately) from the front, allowing switches, sockets and other modules to be arranged in custom configurations across 1-gang, 2-gang or 3-gang grid plates.

Designed for residential and light commercial installations where dual circuit control is needed from a single switch position, the centre-off configuration provides three states: circuit 1 on (rocker up), both circuits off (rocker centre), circuit 2 on (rocker down). This is useful for switching between two lighting circuits from one location, such as independently controlling two sets of downlights or toggling between primary and accent lighting without needing two separate switches.

The 20AX rating handles loads up to 4,600W on 230V, making the module suitable for controlling multiple high-wattage lighting circuits or motor loads. The brushed brass rocker sits in a white ABS and steel module body that clips into the grid frame, with the brass finish exposed on the front once installed. The 35mm minimum back box depth matches standard UK single-gang metal boxes, and the module's 24.8mm width occupies one grid space in Knightsbridge's modular system.

A centre-off switch provides three states: rocker up connects circuit 1, rocker centre disconnects both circuits, rocker down connects circuit 2. This allows one switch to control two independent circuits without both being on simultaneously.

What grid frames does this fit?

The module fits Knightsbridge's modular grid system, which uses separate mounting frames in 1-gang, 2-gang and 3-gang configurations. Each module occupies one grid space (24.8mm width). Frames are sold separately.

What back box depth is required?
