Description

The Knightsbridge 20AX 2-way single pole module is a grid switch component with a centre-off position, allowing control of two separate circuits from a single rocker. The antique brass finish covers the rocker face, which clips into compatible Knightsbridge grid mounting frames (sold separately) from the front without requiring back-panel access.

Designed for modular grid installations in residential and commercial environments, the module handles lighting circuits rated up to 20A at 230V. The centre-off position means the rocker can isolate both circuits simultaneously when centred, or switch to either circuit when pushed up or down. This is useful for controlling two separate lighting zones from one switch position, or for switching between alternative power sources in AV or staging setups.

The module body is constructed from ABS with steel internal components, and the antique brass rocker provides a warm metallic finish that suits traditional and period interiors. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations. At 24.8mm wide, the module occupies a single grid position and requires a minimum 35mm back box depth for installation.

Frequently Asked

What is a centre-off switch position?

A centre-off position allows the rocker to sit in a neutral middle position where both circuits are isolated. Pushing the rocker up or down switches to one circuit or the other, making it useful for controlling two separate lighting zones or switching between alternative power sources.

Does this module require a separate frame?

Yes. The module clips into a Knightsbridge grid mounting frame from the front. Frames are available in various sizes (1-6 modules wide) and finishes, sold separately.

What is the 20AX rating?

20AX means the module is rated for 20 amps resistive load at 230V AC. This is suitable for standard lighting circuits and higher-draw applications than a typical 10A switch module.

What other finishes are available?

Knightsbridge produces this module in a range of finishes including polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, matt black and white. Use the search function or filters to find other variants in stock at Niori.
