20AX 2 Way SP Grid Switch Module - Matt White

The Knightsbridge 20AX 2-way single pole grid switch module is a matt white switch insert designed for use with the Knightsbridge Grid modular wiring accessory system. The module clips into position from the front of a Knightsbridge Grid mounting frame (sold separately), allowing switches, sockets, USB ports and other modules to be combined into custom multi-gang plates.

The 20AX rating handles loads up to 4,600W on 230V mains, making the module suitable for controlling high-draw appliances including water heaters, storage heaters and motor-driven equipment. The 2-way configuration allows the same lighting circuit or appliance to be controlled from two different switch positions, typically used for stairway lighting, hallway circuits and rooms with multiple entry points.

The module body is moulded from ABS plastic with steel contact terminals, giving a lightweight 56.3mm × 24.8mm footprint that occupies one module width in the Grid system. The matt white finish provides a smooth, low-sheen surface that resists fingerprints and pairs with other matt white Grid modules from Knightsbridge. Installation requires a 35mm minimum back box depth behind the mounting frame.

What is the Knightsbridge Grid system?

The Knightsbridge Grid system allows switches, sockets, USB ports, dimmers and other modules to be combined into custom multi-gang plates. Modules clip into metal mounting frames (sold separately), and the frame is then covered with a decorative front plate. This allows for flexible configurations of up to 6 modules in a single plate.

What's the difference between 1-way and 2-way switching?

A 1-way switch controls a circuit from a single location. A 2-way switch allows the same circuit to be controlled from two different positions, typically used for stairway lighting or rooms with multiple entry points. Two 2-way switches are needed to create a 2-way circuit.
