Description
The Knightsbridge NET12WWH is a 20AX 1-gang intermediate modular switch with a 50x50mm white wide rocker, designed to fit euro modular faceplates. An intermediate switch allows a single light or circuit to be controlled from three or more locations when wired between two 2-way switches, giving three-point or multi-point control in hallways, staircases and large rooms.
The modular design means the switch clips into a separate euro-standard faceplate frame rather than being supplied as a complete unit, allowing multiple switches, sockets and data modules to be assembled into custom grid configurations. The 50x50mm rocker occupies two module widths in a standard 25mm-pitch grid system, making it compatible with Knightsbridge's modular faceplate ranges and other euro-compatible frames.
Constructed from white ABS with a Class II double-insulated back, the switch requires a 25mm minimum back box depth and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor locations. The 20AX rating handles resistive loads up to 4,600W at 230V, making it suitable for lighting circuits, fan controls and other general switching applications in residential and light commercial installations.

Frequently Asked
What is an intermediate switch used for?
An intermediate switch sits between two 2-way switches to allow a circuit to be controlled from three or more locations. Common in long hallways, staircases with landings, and large open-plan spaces where multiple switch positions are needed for a single lighting circuit.
Does this come with a faceplate?
No. This is a modular switch insert only. It clips into a separate euro-standard modular faceplate frame, which is purchased separately. Knightsbridge produces compatible frames in various finishes and grid sizes.
What faceplate does it fit?
The 50x50mm rocker occupies two module widths in a 25mm-pitch euro grid system. It fits Knightsbridge's own modular faceplate ranges and other euro-compatible frames from manufacturers using the same grid pitch.
What back box depth is required?
A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed. The switch itself is 25.7mm deep, so the back box must provide at least 25mm clearance behind the faceplate mounting surface.
