Description

The Knightsbridge 20A 1-gang double pole switch pairs a 20A rating with a neon indicator behind an anthracite screwless faceplate. The double pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when turned off, providing additional safety for fixed appliances such as water heaters, immersion heaters, and kitchen extraction fans that draw high continuous loads.

Designed for residential and light commercial installation, the switch fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. The neon indicator glows when the switch is in the on position, providing a visual status check from across a room without needing to approach the switch itself. The 20A rating handles appliances drawing up to 4,600W on 230V mains.

The anthracite finish is a mid-tone charcoal grey with a low-sheen surface that sits between matt black and lighter gunmetal tones. The steel construction and powder-coated finish resist fingerprints and wear in high-touch areas. The integrated gasket between the cover plate and wall surface provides a clean edge and reduces dust ingress behind the plate. Certified to EN 60669-1 and carrying a 25-year warranty from Knightsbridge.
