Description

This Knightsbridge under cabinet light kit includes three 2.5W LED downlights with brushed chrome bezels, a constant current dimmable driver, a 6-way connection box and 2.5m cables per fitting. Each 68mm-diameter light delivers 185 lumens of 3000K warm white light through an opal polycarbonate diffuser, with an 11mm projection from the mounting surface.

Designed for kitchen worktop lighting, display cabinet illumination and under-shelf task lighting, the lights can be surface-mounted or recessed into a 63mm cut-out. The supplied 6-way connection box allows up to six lights in total to run from one driver, so the three-pack can be expanded with additional fittings from the same range. The system requires a minimum of two lamps to operate.

The dimmable driver is compatible with trailing-edge dimmers only — leading-edge dimmers will cause flickering or failure to dim smoothly. The brushed chrome finish on the polycarbonate and pressed steel bezels provides a neutral metallic accent that pairs with stainless steel appliances and contemporary kitchen fittings. The Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is needed, simplifying installation in standard UK cabinetry.

The 100-degree beam angle spreads light across the worktop without creating harsh shadows directly beneath each fitting. At 2.5W per light, the full three-pack draws 7.5W, making it a low-energy alternative to halogen puck lights. The SMD LEDs are rated for 25,000 hours to L70B50, the point at which 50% of the LEDs will have degraded to 70% of their original output.

Can these lights be dimmed?

Yes, but only with trailing-edge dimmers. Leading-edge dimmers are not compatible and will cause flickering or uneven dimming. The system requires a minimum of two lamps connected to operate correctly.

Can I add more lights to the three-pack?

Yes. The supplied 6-way connection box and driver support up to six lights in total. Additional lights from the same range can be connected to expand the system, as long as the total does not exceed six fittings per driver.

What's the difference between surface and recessed mounting?

Surface mounting fixes the light directly to the underside of a cabinet with the full 11mm projection visible. Recessed mounting requires a 63mm cut-out in the cabinet base, so the light sits flush with the surface and only the bezel shows.

What spacing should I use between lights?

For even worktop coverage, space the lights 400-600mm apart depending on the depth of the worktop and the desired light level. The 100-degree beam angle provides good spread, so closer spacing is only needed for very bright task lighting or narrow cabinets.
