Description
The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang DP switched socket delivers a single 13A outlet behind a matt black screwless faceplate with a matching black insert and rocker. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the socket is switched off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for high-draw appliances.
Designed for residential, hospitality and office installation, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This means there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W.
The matt black finish provides a low-sheen surface that minimises fingerprints and pairs well with industrial, contemporary and dark-toned interiors. The black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to the outlet aperture. The premium-grade steel construction, twin earth terminals and IP20 rating make the socket suitable for dry indoor locations including living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and offices.
Built to BS 1363:2 standards and backed by a 25-year manufacturer warranty, the socket's 87.5mm square footprint and 4.3mm projection keep the profile tight to the wall. The built-in gasket ensures a flush fit against plaster and painted surfaces.
