Description
The Knightsbridge LEDFN12G is a 5-metre green LED flex strip carrying sixty 2835 SMD LEDs per metre on an 8mm-wide flexible PCB, running on 12V DC constant voltage at 4.8W per metre. The strip is supplied on a reel with a 150mm flying lead at one end and a 3M adhesive backing along its full length, ready for installation onto clean, smooth surfaces.
Designed for indoor accent lighting, the strip suits under-cabinet installations in kitchens, cove lighting around ceilings, shelf and display case illumination, and architectural feature lighting where a continuous green colour wash is needed. The 50mm cut points allow the strip to be trimmed to exact lengths without wasting material — cut marks are printed on the PCB at each interval. The adhesive backing holds securely to aluminium profiles, painted wood, MDF, and most plastics after surface preparation.
The green LEDs produce a pure saturated colour output without requiring a colour filter, making them more efficient and brighter than filtered white LEDs. The 2° beam angle figure in the specification refers to the minimal projection from the mounting surface once installed, not the light spread — the LEDs themselves emit light at approximately 120° from the strip plane. The IP20 rating limits the strip to dry indoor environments; it cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any outdoor location.
The strip requires a 12V DC constant-voltage LED driver sized to match the total wattage of the installed length (4.8W per metre, so a full 5m reel draws 24W). Dimming is possible when a compatible 12V dimmable driver and dimmer are used together — the strip itself has no built-in dimming circuitry. The Class III rating means the strip operates at extra-low voltage and does not require earthing.

Frequently Asked
What driver is needed?
The strip requires a 12V DC constant-voltage LED driver. A full 5m reel draws 24W, so a driver rated at 30W or above provides headroom. If cutting the strip shorter, size the driver to match: 1m draws 4.8W, 2m draws 9.6W, 3m draws 14.4W.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable 12V LED driver and a compatible dimmer control. The strip itself has no dimming electronics — dimming happens at the driver. Confirm dimmer and driver compatibility before purchasing.
Where can the strip be cut?
The strip can be cut at 50mm intervals. Cut marks are printed on the PCB showing where to cut without damaging the circuit. Each cut section must have its own connection to the 12V supply — sections cannot be daisy-chained after cutting.
Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the strip has no moisture or dust protection and is suitable only for dry indoor areas away from water sources. For bathrooms, use an IP65-rated strip instead.
