Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 1-gang DP switch is a single-gang double pole switch housed in a white rounded-edge faceplate. The 7mm plate depth gives a low-profile fit to the wall, and the gently curved edges soften the visual transition between plate and wall surface. The plate is manufactured from thermoset resin and carries an anti-microbial coating tested to ISO 22196:2011, which inhibits bacterial growth on the switch surface.

Designed for controlling lighting circuits up to 10AX at 230V 50Hz, the switch isolates both live and neutral lines when turned off, providing double pole switching. This makes it suitable for circuits where full electrical isolation is needed, such as bathroom extractor fans, outdoor lighting circuits, or dedicated appliance circuits. The switch fits a standard 16mm minimum back box depth and uses screw terminals for cable termination. The white finish includes screw cap covers to conceal fixing screws once installed.

The rounded edge design gives the plate a softer appearance than sharp-edged alternatives, making it pair well with residential interiors where the standard square-edged plate might feel too industrial.
