Description

The Zira is a 2-light table lamp built around a curved wenge wood and polished chrome base that rises from a wide circular foot to a narrow stem, then branches into a polished chrome arm supporting a horizontal frosted white glass shade. Two G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the shade, which measures 350mm wide and diffuses light evenly across the length of the glass.

Designed as accent lighting for desks, console tables and side tables in living rooms, bedrooms and home offices, the Zira provides soft ambient light rather than directed task lighting. The frosted glass eliminates direct glare from the bulbs and produces a wide wash of light in both directions, making the lamp suitable for placement against a wall or in the centre of a table. The sculptural form gives the lamp presence even when unlit.

The wenge-toned wood base contrasts with the polished chrome metalwork and the frosted white glass, creating a layered visual composition of dark, reflective and translucent surfaces. The wood is finished with a low-sheen coating that shows the grain without adding gloss. The chrome arm is highly polished and reflects surrounding light, while the frosted glass softens the overall effect. At 390mm tall and 4.9kg, the lamp has a substantial footprint that suits larger side tables and desks without requiring additional weighting.

The lamp runs on a standard 220-240V supply and draws up to 80W when both G9 lamps are fitted. Pairing 2700K to 3000K lamps keeps the frosted wash warm rather than cool across the horizontal shade.

The lamp takes two G9 capsule bulbs up to a combined 80W. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W each and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting.

Is the Zira dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the lamp with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Not all G9 LED bulbs are dimmable, so check the bulb packaging before purchase.

What is the wood finish?

The base is finished in a wenge tone, which is a dark brown wood effect with visible grain. The finish is sealed with a low-sheen coating that protects the wood and shows the grain texture without adding gloss.

How is the shade cleaned?

The frosted white glass shade can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water or glass cleaner, then dry immediately to avoid streaks. Ensure the lamp is unplugged and the bulbs have cooled before cleaning.
