Description

The Zara is a 495mm diameter semi-flush ceiling light built around a mosaic drum of individually hand-welded square metal pieces, each curved in two directions to create a faceted, reflective surface. The brushed steel frame encases three E27 bulb fittings (sold separately), each softened by a near-translucent silver organza shade inside the drum. The fitting sits 276mm below the ceiling on a brushed steel canopy supported by curved metal arms.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4-2.7m where a full pendant would hang too low, the Zara suits dining rooms, entrance halls, and master bedrooms needing ambient light with a decorative focus. The mosaic metal shell reflects light outward through the gaps between individual metal pieces while the organza shades diffuse it downward, giving a layered lighting effect that reduces glare and fills the room with soft illumination. The fitting takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs rated 8-12W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or hallway lighting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 276mm drop from ceiling to base makes this a good choice for rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights where a traditional pendant would hang too low. The semi-flush design keeps the fitting close to the ceiling while maintaining clearance above head height.

Can it be fitted to a sloped ceiling?

The Zara is designed for horizontal ceiling mounting. Fitting to a sloped ceiling is not recommended as the weight distribution and the curved support arms are engineered for level installation.

How is the mosaic metal cleaned?

Switch off the mains and allow the fitting to cool. Use a dry microfibre cloth to dust the metal pieces. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the organza shades and do not use sprays or chemical cleaners on the fabric.
