Description

The Zanthe is a 450mm circular pendant light built from continuous clear glass rods suspended in tight formation around a polished chrome drum frame. Ten G9 bulbs sit inside the drum, casting light outward through the glass rods, which act as individual prisms to refract and scatter the light across walls and ceilings. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the drop is adjustable from 450mm to 1500mm on installation.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Zanthe pairs ambient and decorative function. The 450mm diameter suits tables up to 1.4m wide or kitchen islands up to 1.8m long, and the adjustable drop allows the pendant to be set 700-900mm above the surface depending on ceiling height. The glass rods hang vertically from the chrome drum, creating a cylindrical curtain effect that softens the light while maintaining clarity.

Each glass rod is smooth-polished and measures approximately 10-12mm diameter, dense enough in formation to obscure direct view of the bulbs from most angles while still allowing the light to escape and refract. The polished chrome finish on the frame and canopy provides a mirror-bright surface that reflects surrounding light and pairs with both warm and cool interior palettes. At 14.5kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing, and the G9 bulbs (sold separately) are dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED dimmable bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch.

How are the glass rods cleaned?

Wipe the glass rods with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household glass cleaners or sprays that may leave residue or streaks, and do not immerse the fitting in water.
