Description

The Yarmouth is a 4 light lantern chandelier with an open-sided frame built from curved metal arms in a painted aged brass finish, housing four E14 candle bulbs arranged on a central column. The frame follows the outline of a traditional coaching lantern, with an arched top section and square-profile arms that curve gently where they meet the canopy and base.

Designed for entrance halls, dining rooms and stairwells with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Yarmouth works as both ambient and accent lighting. The 375mm width suits spaces between 3-4m across without dominating the room. The adjustable drop allows the chandelier to be set between 705mm and 2270mm from the ceiling on installation, giving flexibility to position it 750-850mm above a dining table or 1500-1800mm in a double-height entrance depending on the room proportions.

The painted aged brass finish adds warmth without the high reflectivity of polished brass, pairing comfortably with oak furniture, terracotta tones and heritage interiors. The open frame allows the four candle-style bulbs (sold separately) to cast light outward through the gaps between the arms rather than being enclosed, making bulb choice visible and giving the option to use decorative filament or flame-tip LEDs to add to the lantern aesthetic. The Yarmouth is part of the Feiss Heritage Collection.

The chandelier takes four E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle or flame-tip bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K to suit the traditional lantern style.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 705mm works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings when the chandelier is used in an entrance or hallway. For positioning above a dining table, ceiling heights of 2.7m or above are recommended to allow the chandelier to sit 750-850mm above the table surface.

Is the drop adjustable after installation?

The chain length is set during installation by removing links before the chandelier is wired. Once installed and powered, the drop cannot be adjusted without isolating the circuit and unwiring the fitting.

What finish is painted aged brass?

Painted aged brass is a low-sheen finish that mimics the patina of brass that has developed a natural tarnish over time. It sits between the brightness of polished brass and the darker tone of antique brass, giving a warm gold-brown colour without high reflectivity.
