Description

A small, neat pendant with a rounded satin black body barely wider than the palm of your hand, hung on flex that can be set at any length up to 5m. The body measures 11cm across, so it reads as a quiet full stop below the ceiling rather than a shape that pulls the eye. It comes as the frame, holder and suspension, ready to take a G9 capsule and, if you want one, a shade of your own choosing. We hold it here in satin black.

That long flex is much of the appeal. It will hang low over a kitchen island or a run of worktop, drop into a stairwell, or sit just above a bedside table where a lamp would eat into the surface. We like a few of them in a row over a breakfast bar, set at slightly different heights. It suits pared-back schemes and small rooms. It takes up to 10W, which an LED capsule uses well, and it will dim with a suitable capsule and a compatible dimmer; the dimmer is bought separately.

The satin finish is even and low in shine, so it shows fingerprints and dust far less than a polished metal would. A dry duster run over the body and along the flex is all it asks, with the power off and the lamp cold; nothing wet, and no cleaning sprays. It carries a one year warranty. The same small round body runs through the range in antique brass, antique copper, aged pewter, black chrome, brass gold, French gold, polished nickel, satin nickel and satin white, and there is an E27 version for larger lamps. Lamps are not included.

Yes, provided you use a dimmable G9 capsule with a compatible dimmer. The dimmer is not supplied.
