Description

A small pendant with a tidy rounded body finished in black chrome, hung on a flex that can be shortened at the ceiling or let out to a full 5m. The body measures 11cm across, so it reads as a neat point of metal rather than a mass overhead. It is supplied as a frame only, taking a G9 capsule, so the shade is yours to choose. Nothing about it competes for attention.

We reach for this one where a long drop is needed and the ceiling is high: a stairwell void, a double height hallway, or above a kitchen island where the flex can be set to sit just clear of eye level. Hung short, it works as bedside lighting either side of a bed, or in a line along a worktop. It suits flats and older houses alike where floor space is short. It will dim with a compatible lamp and a suitable dimmer, which we would recommend in a bedroom.

The finish is a dark, faintly reflective black chrome that sits well against warm wood and pale plaster, and the fitting is double insulated. Lamps up to 10W suit it, and an LED capsule is what we would fit. Keep the metal free of dust with a dry cloth and leave polishes and sprays well away; the fitting belongs in dry rooms indoors, away from bathrooms. It carries a one year warranty. The same body runs through the range in antique brass, antique copper, aged pewter, brass gold, French gold, polished nickel, satin nickel, satin black and satin white, and there is an E27 version if you want a larger lamp. Lamp and shade are not included.
