Description

Small, plain and bright: a compact pendant body in polished nickel, 10cm across and 14cm tall, hung on a slim flex that can be set shorter at the ceiling. It takes an E27 lamp of up to 20W, so the light it gives depends largely on the lamp and any shade you pair with it. Dimming works where both the lamp and the dimmer are suited to it, and we would check the lamp packaging first.

We like it in multiples over a kitchen island or a long table, spaced evenly so the nickel picks up the light from its neighbours. On its own it does quiet work over a bedside cabinet, in a narrow hall, or in a corner of a snug where a floor lamp would be in the way. Because the body is so small, it sits happily under a low ceiling without crowding the room, and it will also carry a shade if you want softer, more diffuse light. It is for dry rooms indoors, away from splashes and steam.

The metalwork is finished in polished nickel, a cool silver with a mirror shine that suits chrome taps, glass and pale paint. Fingermarks show on a finish like this, so we keep a dry microfibre cloth to hand and buff gently along the body; nothing abrasive, and no sprays near the lamp holder. It is double insulated. It carries a one year warranty. The same body runs through the range in other finishes, including aged pewter, antique copper, antique brass and black chrome, and there is a satin nickel version if you would rather a softer sheen than this one. Lamps are not included.

No. It is rated IP20 and belongs in dry indoor rooms only.
