Description

This is a small pendant body, 10cm across and 14cm tall, finished in antique copper so the warmth of the metal reads softly rather than brightly. The flex drops to 1.5m at full length and can be set much shorter, so a row of them can be levelled to whatever height a worktop or table wants. It holds an E27 lamp, and with a suitable lamp and a compatible dimmer it can be dimmed.

We use fittings like this where a broad shade would crowd the room: over a narrow breakfast bar, above a stairwell return, or either side of a bed in place of table lamps. The scale suits smaller kitchens and box rooms, and because the body is compact it sits comfortably in a group without looking busy. Because the drop adjusts, it also copes with awkward ceiling heights, low cottage beams at one end of the scale and tall Victorian rooms at the other. Which lamp suits best depends on the shade you pair with it, and a warm LED is what we would fit for everyday use.

The metalwork carries an antique copper finish meant to look already lived with, and it will keep that character best if you leave chemical cleaners well alone; a dry duster now and then is all it asks. Switch off at the wall before you change a lamp. The fitting is double insulated and sits indoors on an ordinary household supply. It carries a one year warranty. Lamps are not included. We stock the same body in antique brass, aged pewter, black chrome and brass gold, and a G9 version runs across a wider set of finishes.

It takes one E27 lamp up to 20W. An LED is the sensible choice, and the shade you pair it with will guide the shape and output you want. No lamp is supplied.

How short can the drop be set?

The suspension adjusts from a minimum drop of 200mm up to a maximum of 1500mm, so it can hang close to the ceiling or well down over a table.

Can I put it on a dimmer?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable lamp and a dimmer compatible with it. A dimmer is not included.

What are the body dimensions?

The body measures 100mm in diameter and 140mm in height.

How should the copper be cleaned?

A soft, dry cloth is enough. Avoid metal polish, solvents and abrasive creams, as these will cut through the aged tone of the finish.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

No. It is rated for dry indoor rooms only and should not be used in bathroom zones or anywhere exposed to damp.
