Description

A small pendant in satin black, plain in outline and about as unfussy as a hanging light gets. The body is 10cm across and 14cm tall, so it reads as a neat vertical mark rather than a wide bowl, and the drop is set at the time of fitting to suit the room. It takes an E27 lamp of up to 20W, and it will dim if you pair it with a dimmable lamp and a matching dimmer.

This is the sort of pendant we hang in a row over a kitchen island or a long run of worktop, where several small fittings suit the space better than something broad. On its own it works at a bedside, on a landing, in a modest hall, or wherever a shade needs a quiet hanger behind it. If you are adding a shade, choose the lamp to suit it: something clear and decorative behind glass, something softer behind fabric. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, away from bathroom zones and anywhere open to the weather.

The finish is a low sheen satin black, even across the body, and the fitting is double insulated. A dry cloth run over it now and again stops the black looking dusty and grey; switch off at the wall and let the lamp cool before you handle it. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same small body in antique brass, antique copper, aged pewter and black chrome, and there is a G9 version of the range in finishes from polished nickel through to French gold if you would rather use a smaller lamp. Lamps are not supplied.
