Description

A small brass gold pendant, 10cm across and 14cm tall, sized to hang on its own or in a run without filling the space above a worktop. It takes one E27 lamp, so the look is yours to finish: a clear decorative globe if you want the filament on show, or a shade of your choosing for a softer spread of light. The drop is adjustable, which lets it sit low over a table or higher in a hallway. It will dim with a compatible lamp and dimmer, neither of which is included.

We like this one where a wider pendant would crowd a room. It works in a row along a kitchen island, in pairs either side of a bed in place of table lamps, above a stair return, or on its own in a cloakroom or a small landing. It suits anyone who prefers to build a scheme piece by piece, picking the lamp and the shade themselves rather than taking a fixed shade as given. Keep it to dry rooms indoors; a bathroom zone or a covered porch asks for a sealed fitting instead.

The body is finished in brass gold, warm enough to sit happily with oak, brick and unpainted plaster, and quiet enough not to fight brushed metal taps and handles elsewhere in the room. Wipe the finish with a dry duster now and then and leave polishes and sprays alone, since they dull the surface. It carries a one year warranty. We stock the same small body in antique brass, antique copper, aged pewter and black chrome, and there is a G9 version of the range for anyone who would rather use a small capsule lamp. Lamps are not included.

What lamp should I fit?

It takes a single E27 lamp rated up to 20W. An LED is the sensible choice, and the style of lamp is best decided by the shade you use, or left clear and decorative if you run it bare.

How high can it hang?

The hanging height can be set anywhere between 200mm and 1500mm, with 1.7m of flex supplied, so it works over a low table or up near the ceiling in a hallway.

Is a shade supplied with it?

No. The pendant is the holder, body and flex only, so you can pick a shade to suit the room. Lamps are supplied separately as well.

Can I put it on a dimmer?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable lamp and a dimmer that is compatible with it. Neither is included.

How do I keep the brass gold looking even?

Switch off at the wall and wipe the body and flex with a soft dry cloth. Metal polish, cream cleaners and sprays can mark the finish, so leave them out of it.

The body measures 100mm in diameter, with a height of 140mm, so it stays slim enough to hang in a row without crowding.
