Description

The Vivienne is a single-light crystal wall light built around a faceted crystal shade cylinder suspended on a french gold decorative arm. The crystal shade measures approximately 80mm diameter and features vertical faceting that refracts light into multiple prismatic patterns when lit. A single E14 bulb sits inside the cylinder (sold separately), with the crystal acting as both diffuser and decorative element.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, and living rooms in traditional, transitional and classical interiors, the Vivienne mounts on a french gold backplate measuring 135mm wide by 270mm high. The 180mm projection from the wall positions the light source clear of most furniture and allows the crystal to project patterns onto adjacent wall surfaces. The french gold finish is a warm antique tone midway between polished brass and rose gold, pairing well with cream, taupe, and warm grey paint colours.

The decorative arm features a scrolled detail below the crystal shade and a smaller crystal accent piece near the mounting point, adding visual interest at close viewing distances. The entire fitting weighs 1.6kg and requires secure fixing to a solid wall or stud-backed plasterboard. Dimmable when paired with a dimmable E14 LED bulb and appropriate dimmer switch, giving control over ambient light levels in the evening.

The fitting takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 20W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a candle-shaped LED bulb in 4-6W with a warm white 2700K colour temperature to suit traditional interiors.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The faceted crystal shade can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth when the power is off and the bulb has cooled. For more thorough cleaning, the shade detaches from the frame by removing a small retaining collar, allowing it to be washed in warm water with mild washing-up liquid and dried thoroughly before refitting.

French gold is a warm antique gold tone with a soft lustre, sitting between polished brass and rose gold. It has less shine than polished brass and a slightly pinker undertone than standard antique brass, making it particularly suited to warm-toned classical and transitional interiors.
