Description

The Vintage 38cm bell pendant light pairs a curved amber glass shade with an antique brass frame and hinged base detail. The pendant houses a single E27 bulb fitting (sold separately) inside the 380mm-diameter bell-shaped shade, with the amber glass diffusing light to cast a warm tonal glow across the room.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, entrance halls and reading corners, the 38cm profile provides enough visual presence to work as a single statement piece or in multiples down a 2-3m table. The drop is adjustable between 700mm and 2000mm during installation, allowing the pendant to be hung 650-800mm above a dining surface or lower in double-height entrance halls. The hinged base frame clips open to allow bulb changes without removing the entire shade.

The antique brass finish has a darker, aged patina compared to polished or brushed brass, giving the metalwork a lived-in character that pairs well with reclaimed wood, warm greys, deep greens and terracotta tones. The amber glass tint softens the light output and reduces glare, making the pendant suitable for use with visible filament bulbs or clear LED equivalents that benefit from the amber filter. The combined weight of 4.5kg includes the glass shade, brass framework and ceiling rose.

What bulb does the pendant take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to complement the amber glass and antique brass finish.

Is the pendant dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable bulb and install a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The pendant itself has no electronic components — dimming is controlled entirely by the bulb and dimmer choice.

How is the bulb accessed?

The hinged base frame clips open, allowing access to the E27 socket inside the glass bell without removing the shade or disconnecting the pendant from the ceiling.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 700mm minimum drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when the pendant is hung 650-800mm above a dining table. For higher ceilings or entrance halls, the chain can be extended up to 2000mm total drop.
