Description

The Verdant is a 500mm geometric pendant light built around a polyhedral brass frame with clear glass panel inserts and a single E27 bulb fitting suspended inside. The brass frame forms a 20-facet icosahedron structure, creating triangular openings across the surface. Clear glass sheets fit into selected facets, acting as protective panels while leaving other facets open to allow direct visibility of the bulb and unobstructed light distribution.

Designed for dining tables, entrance halls and living room centres where ceiling heights exceed 2.6m, the Verdant works as both decorative object and functional light source. The 620mm total drop from ceiling rose to lowest point of the frame suits installations where the pendant hangs 700-900mm above a table surface or 2m above floor level in a hallway. The glass panels can be removed by hand for bulb replacement without tools, and the frame structure provides protection against accidental contact with the bulb during use.

The brass finish on the metal frame shows tonal variation across different batches, ranging from bright polished brass through to a warmer burnished tone depending on when the unit was manufactured. The geometric frame casts patterned shadows onto surrounding walls and ceilings when lit, with the shadow intensity varying based on bulb type and wattage. The 500mm diameter gives the pendant substantial presence in rooms up to 25 square metres without dominating smaller dining areas of 12-15 square metres.

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no electronics that would prevent dimming. Bulb compatibility with specific dimmer models should be checked before installation.

What bulb does it take?

The Verdant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations pair this with a 6-10W LED filament bulb in warm white (2700K) to complement the brass frame and provide adequate light output for dining or ambient use.

Can the glass panels be removed for cleaning?

Yes. The glass panels fit into the frame facets and can be removed by hand without tools. This allows both bulb replacement and cleaning of the glass surfaces. The IP20 rating means the pendant is suitable for dry indoor locations only.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 620mm drop from ceiling rose to the lowest point of the frame works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above.
