Description

The Knightsbridge Track T-Connector is a white polycarbonate and copper junction piece that joins three single-circuit track sections in a T-configuration. The connector allows track lighting runs to branch off at right angles, creating L-shaped or T-shaped layouts across ceilings without needing multiple separate circuits.

Designed for residential and commercial track lighting installations using the Knightsbridge TRKSPxx series track, the T-connector measures 181mm across the horizontal arm and 108mm on the vertical drop, with an 18mm projection from the ceiling. It can be positioned at any point along an existing track run, allowing power to feed into the junction from any of the three arms. This makes it useful both as a branching point in the middle of a layout and as a central power feed where mains supply enters from the ceiling rose.

The white polycarbonate body matches standard white track sections and carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry indoor use in kitchens, retail spaces, galleries and offices. The connector handles 230V 50Hz mains supply and is Class I earthed. Installation requires the track to be isolated from mains before fitting, and the connector clips into the track channel using the same mechanism as straight connectors and end caps.

Frequently Asked

Which track systems is this compatible with?

This T-connector is designed for the Knightsbridge TRKSPxx series single-circuit track system. It will not fit other manufacturers' track or Knightsbridge's three-circuit track ranges.

Can the power feed come from any of the three arms?

Yes. The T-connector distributes power across all three arms regardless of which arm the mains supply enters through, so it can function as a branching junction in the middle of a run or as a central feed point where the ceiling rose is located.

Does it need to be wired separately?

No. The connector clips into the track channel and makes electrical contact through the copper conductor inside the track itself. It does not require separate wiring, but the track must be isolated from mains before fitting or removing the connector.

What's the difference between this and a straight connector?

A straight connector joins two track sections end-to-end in a continuous line. The T-connector joins three sections at right angles, allowing the track layout to branch off in two directions from a central spine.
