Description

The Knightsbridge track connector joins two single circuit track sections together or acts as a central power feed point on TRKSPxx track lighting systems. Built from polycarbonate with internal copper contacts, the connector measures 181mm long by 35mm wide and projects 18mm below the track when installed.

Used when extending track runs beyond a single length or when bringing mains power into the middle of a track layout rather than at the end, the connector clicks into the track channel on both sides and makes contact with the live, neutral and earth rails inside. The black polycarbonate body matches black track systems commonly used in retail, hospitality and contemporary residential installations where visible track is part of the design intent.

The connector is rated for 230V 50Hz mains power and carries IP20 ingress protection, limiting it to dry indoor environments. Class I earthing requires the track system to be correctly earthed at the power feed. The polycarbonate construction handles the mechanical load of track suspension and the thermal load from the electrical connection without deformation under normal use.

Frequently Asked

What track systems is this compatible with?

This connector is designed for Knightsbridge TRKSPxx single circuit track systems. It will not fit three-circuit track or other manufacturers' track profiles without verification of dimensional compatibility.

Can this be used to bring power into the middle of a track run?

Yes. The connector can join two track sections together or act as a central power feed point, allowing mains power to be introduced at the centre of a layout rather than at one end.

What's the maximum load this connector can handle?

The connector itself is rated for 230V 50Hz mains. The maximum load depends on the track system rating and the total wattage of all spotlights on the circuit — refer to the TRKSPxx track system specification for circuit load limits.

Is it suitable for bathroom or outdoor use?

No. The IP20 rating limits this connector to dry indoor environments only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor installations.
