Description

This Knightsbridge track adaptor connects pendant light fittings or secondary power feeds to TRK single-track systems. The body is moulded polycarbonate with copper contact pins, finished in satin nickel to match the TRK track finish. The adaptor measures 40mm long by 65mm high by 37mm wide and locks into the track channel with a twist-lock mechanism that provides both electrical contact and mechanical support.

Designed for use in retail, hospitality and residential track lighting installations where pendant lights need to be hung from a ceiling track or where the track needs to branch into a second circuit. The adaptor accepts flex cables from 1.5mm to 6mm diameter, which covers standard pendant flex and most low-voltage power feeds. The maximum electrical load is 100W at 230V and the maximum mechanical load is 5kg, which suits most small-to-medium pendant fittings and light shades.

The satin nickel finish provides a brushed metallic appearance that softens reflections compared to polished chrome and pairs well with contemporary and commercial interiors. The adaptor carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry indoor locations but not bathrooms or outdoor use. Class I earthing requires the track system itself to be earthed via the main power feed.

What track systems is this compatible with?

This adaptor is designed specifically for Knightsbridge TRK single-track systems. It will not fit other manufacturers' track systems or Knightsbridge's three-circuit track ranges. Check that your existing track is a TRK system before ordering.

What weight of pendant can it support?

The adaptor is rated for a maximum mechanical load of 5kg, which covers most small-to-medium glass, metal or fabric pendant shades. Heavier pendants may need a ceiling-mounted support or a different mounting method.

What flex diameter does it accept?

The cable entry accepts flex from 1.5mm to 6mm diameter. Standard pendant flex is typically 3mm round or 6mm flat, both of which fit. Thicker architectural cable may not pass through the entry gland.
